FULL VIDEO: Gunshots as Nigerian Police and Air Force Clash in Ilorin, Kwara State







There was a big fight between Nigerian Police officers and Air Force personnel on January 23, 2025, in Ilorin, Kwara State. This fight started at Yoruba Road Market when traffic officers and police stopped a tricycle. Inside the tricycle was an Air Force officer. He begged the police to allow the tricycle to go, but a police officer slapped him. The Air Force officer hit back, and this led to his arrest.



When other Air Force officers heard that their colleague was arrested, they came to the police station. This caused more trouble as both sides started fighting. Tear gas was used by the police to control the crowd. Gunshots were also heard, and this made people in the area very scared.



People are now calling on the government to step in and make sure these kinds of fights don’t happen again. Security forces need to work together to protect Nigerians, not fight each other.
