This morning (Friday), a human head and legs were found in a rubbish dump in Amouti. A man searching for valuables discovered the terrible scene. He found a black bag that contained a human head and two legs. The man told the community about his discovery and called the RUSA (Reaction Unit South Africa) Operations Centre for help. Reaction Officers arrived at the scene around 08:06. Community members, shocked by what happened, showed them the bag with the body parts. The head had injuries, suggesting the person may have been attacked.
Officers found another black bag, wrapped in a blood-stained white sheet. Inside were two more legs, dismembered from the knees to the pelvis. A pink child’s jacket and a blue baby blanket, both soaked in blood, were also found next to the bags. These items added to the shock and fear in the community.

While officers were on the scene, a woman told them about another body part found nearby. Officers followed her and found a male’s private part on a pathway about 500 meters away from the original location. The identity of the deceased and the reason for the crime are still unknown.
Police are working hard to find out what happened. The discovery of body parts in such a public place has caused fear in Amouti. Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward and help with the investigation.
