President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Senator Monday Okpebholo on winning the Edo State governorship election. Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, was declared the winner by INEC.
President Tinubu thanked APC leaders for their hard work and said the win shows the people's trust in the party’s plans for Nigeria. He highlighted the party's focus on economic growth and improving lives.
President Tinubu urged Okpebholo to stay humble and unite the people of Edo State. He asked him to work with his political opponents and focus on the development of the state.
Tinubu praised all the candidates for making the election peaceful. He said this shows Nigeria’s democracy is growing stronger after 25 years.
The President advised anyone unhappy with the election results to seek justice through the legal system.
He thanked the people of Edo for their peaceful conduct and commended INEC and security officers for ensuring a smooth and free election process.
