Nigerian singer Portable recently explained why he slapped a pastor, and it surprised many people. Portable shared that he didn’t know the person he hit was a pastor. He thought the man was trying to hurt him or his family.
Portable explained the situation, saying, "I didn’t know he’s a man of God, that’s why I slapped him. After my mum died, they hurt my sister, who raised me. So, I thought he came to set me up."
Since his mother’s death, Portable has been very protective of his loved ones. His sister, who helped raise him, has also suffered. This made Portable more cautious, and he feared the pastor had bad intentions.

Portable has gone through tough times, especially after his mother passed away. Losing her and seeing his sister suffer left him with a lot of emotional pain. This pain led him to act out of fear when he thought the pastor might be a threat.
Although Portable’s action has been criticized, he hopes people will understand the reasons behind it. He admits he was wrong but asks for compassion, explaining that his actions came from his deep pain and mistrust.
