BREAKING: Heavy Floods Hit Maiduguri and Borno, Submerge Emir’s Palace .

Severe floods have hit Maiduguri and other areas of Borno State, leaving many people stuck in their homes. The heavy rains started early today, causing major damage. Homes, roads, and even part of the Emir's palace are now under water.

The floods have caused great harm to many parts of Borno. In Maiduguri, the capital city, streets have turned into rivers, and houses have been swept away. Many people are trapped and can't move to safer places. Local officials warn that the situation may get worse if the rain doesn’t stop.

Some neighborhoods are fully underwater, and main roads are flooded, making it hard for rescue teams to help those in danger. The situation is critical.

One of the most shocking effects of the flood is that part of the Emir of Borno’s palace is also underwater. This palace is not only a historic place but also a symbol of the local culture. Pictures shared on social media show how badly the area has been affected.

People living near the palace are heartbroken, as the palace is very important to the Borno community.

Authorities are asking people to stay calm, but many are trapped inside their homes. Some families have been separated, and many do not have food or clean water. People living in low-lying areas are most at risk.

Rescue teams are trying to help, but with the water levels rising, it’s getting harder. Helicopters and boats are being used to reach people in the worst-hit areas.

The Borno State government knows the situation is serious and has promised to act quickly. Governor Babagana Zulum has sent out all available resources to help rescue people and provide relief. He also asked people in high-risk areas to move to safer places.

The Nigerian Red Cross and other aid groups are helping by providing food, water, and medical supplies to those affected.

As the situation worsens, there is a growing call for more help. The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) had warned of heavy rainfall, but this disaster is much bigger than expected.

Nigerians are being asked to donate to help the rescue efforts. The government is also asking everyone to stay calm and assures that help is on the way.
