⚠️ SAD NEWS: Fire Destroys Shops and Cars in Kodjonya, Lower Manya Krobo Municipality






Kodjonya, Lower Manya Krobo Municipality - In the early hours of Sunday, August 11th, 2024, a devastating fire broke out near the Sawmill in Kodjonya, causing significant damage. The fire, which started around 2:00 am, destroyed several shops and cars, leaving the community in shock. [ Here is the incident Video] 



The fire quickly spread through the area, destroying shops and valuable items worth thousands of Ghana cedis. Many business owners were left heartbroken as they arrived to find their shops reduced to ashes. Several cars parked at a nearby fitting shop were also completely burned, adding to the heavy losses.



Thankfully, the Ghana National Fire Service responded quickly. Using three firefighting machines, they were able to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading further. Their efforts saved the Sawmill and nearby properties from being destroyed, preventing an even bigger disaster.



The Kodjonya community is deeply saddened by this tragedy. For many shop owners, these businesses were their main source of income. Losing everything in a single night is a heavy burden to bear. The emotional and financial impact on the affected families is immense.
