SAD 😢: Man tied Wife leg to a Motorcycle and been dragged along a rough road.

Gender-based violence is a global issue, affecting millions of women who suffer abuse in various forms. A recent incident in Rajasthan, India, has brought attention to the severe abuse many women face, even in their own homes.

A shocking video from Nagaur, Rajasthan, recently went viral online. In the video, a woman is seen tied to a motorcycle and being dragged along a rough road. The man responsible for this horrific act is her own husband, Premaram Meghwal. The video shows the woman’s legs tied to the motorcycle, with her hands and feet scraping against the road as she screams in pain. [ The Video Clip here )

According to police reports, the victim is married to Premaram Meghwal, a 32-year-old man with a history of drug addiction and abusive behavior. The incident occurred because the woman wanted to visit her sister in Jaisalmer, but her husband refused. When she insisted, Premaram "punished" her by tying her to the motorcycle and dragging her down the road.

The woman, fearing more abuse, did not initially report the incident to the police. However, after the video went viral, the Rajasthan police took action. Premaram Meghwal was arrested on Tuesday. The police also recorded the woman’s statement in Jaisalmer and are now questioning those who filmed the incident, asking why they did not help her.

This incident is not just a shocking act of violence; it reflects a larger problem of how women are often treated as property, rather than as individuals with rights. The fact that this woman was tortured simply for wanting to visit her sister is a tragic reminder of the deep-rooted misogyny that still exists in many parts of the world.

The Rajasthan police have promised to take strict action against the accused. However, this case raises serious concerns about the effectiveness of legal protections for women in India and the societal attitudes that allow such violence to happen.

As the video continues to circulate, it reminds us that there is still much work to be done to protect women from gender-based violence. This case should be a call to action for governments, communities, and individuals to stand against such brutality and ensure that women everywhere can live without fear of violence and abuse.

While justice may be served through legal channels, the real challenge lies in changing the cultural norms that allow such acts to occur. We must continue to raise awareness, advocate for stronger protections, and support victims of abuse in their fight for justice.
