Kanayo O. Kanayo is a well-known actor in Nollywood, famous for his roles as a ritualist in many movies. However, he wants everyone to understand: "I am not a ritualist; I'm just good at playing the role of a ritualist in movies."
Many people think the characters actors play in movies are who they are in real life. But acting is just a job, and actors like Kanayo are skilled at making their roles look real.
Kanayo shared a story about his fellow actor, Patience Ozokwor, also known as Mama G. "Many of you don't know that Patience Ozokwor, who plays a very wicked woman in most of her movies, is a very soft woman," he said. "If you shout at Patience, she'll start crying. There are times someone will shout at her on set, and we'll have to give her time to cry before we can continue. Her heart is too soft, but she plays the opposite of what she is in movies."
This shows how good actors can be at playing characters very different from who they really are.
Kanayo also talked about how important it is to be professional in acting. "I mostly play the bad guy in movies, but that's not who I am in person. What I do in movies is just a character I'm playing, and for professionalism, if you play a role and people cannot relate to it, then you're not playing it well."
Kanayo is good at his job because he makes his characters believable. However, he wants people to know that these characters are not who he is in real life.
Because Kanayo is so good at playing a ritualist, some people think he might be one in real life. He explained, "I'm just good at playing the ritualist character in movies, but it doesn't mean I'm a ritualist."
This shows how powerful acting can be. When actors do their job well, it can make people believe the characters are real.

He is a talented actor who brings his characters to life, but in real life, he is a different person.
