Sabinus, a well-known Nigerian comedian, recently opened up about his life before fame. He shared a touching story about his struggles as a police officer and how he transitioned into the world of comedy.
"Before I ventured into skit making, I was a police officer," Sabinus begins. "I was dedicated, committed, and trustworthy, but I never had enough money to feed my family. As a police officer, I kept borrowing money because the salary was too poor. The pay was N20,000, and my family and I nearly died of hunger. So, I resigned because I wanted more for myself."
The low salary and constant financial stress took a toll on Sabinus. Despite his hard work and dedication, he found it difficult to make ends meet.
Sabinus always knew he had a talent for making people laugh. With determination, he decided to pursue his passion for comedy, despite the uncertainty that came with it. "I went into comedy because I knew I had the talent. Although it wasn't easy, it was all worth it in the end," he recalls.
Today, Sabinus is a successful comedian, far removed from his days of financial struggle. "Money is no longer a problem. I feed people I don't even know on the street. Just a few months ago, I spent millions to buy three cars for my childhood friends who later joined me in my skit making," he proudly shares.
"If you can dream it, you can achieve it," he concludes.
Tired of the police job, Sabinus decided to take a risk and embrace his comedic talents. His success story shows that sometimes, taking a leap of faith can lead to extraordinary outcomes. Sabinus’s journey from a struggling police officer to a renowned comedian is truly inspiring.
