Man Arrested for Selling Human Skulls for 35,000 Naira - Adenoyin


Yusuf Adenoyin, a 37-year-old man, has been arrested for possessing eight human skulls. Security agencies caught him in Isua Akoko, a town in the Akoko South-East Local Government Area.

Mr. Adenoyin was apprehended at a checkpoint between Isua and Epinmi while traveling in a Nissan car from Akure to Osogbo. He was in the car with four other passengers when police officers from the Safer Highway Patrol stopped them.

A security source confirmed to Peoples Gazette in Akure that Mr. Adenoyin claimed he was traveling from Okene in Kogi State to Osogbo in Osun State to deliver the skulls to a traditional healer, also known as a "jazz man." The skulls were hidden in a sack of garri (cassava flour) along with some charms.

Police Commissioner Abayomi Oladipo provided more details about the arrest. He stated that during questioning, Adenoyin admitted owning the skulls. He said he was delivering them to a traditional healer named Opeifa, who lives in the Oke-Onitea area of Osogbo.

Adenoyin also mentioned other customers to whom he regularly supplies human skulls. These customers include a man named Almonso, who also lives in Oke-Onitea, another person called Alfaa Agba, and someone named Oshoyemi who lives near the Oja Oba area.

The suspect further explained that he received the skulls from a man named Imaila, who lives in Oboroke, Okene. He said each skull is sold for between thirty thousand (N30,000) and thirty-five thousand (N35,000) Naira.

The police chief added that Adenoyin would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Akure for further investigation. His case file will be sent there for more detailed examination and legal proceedings.
